School Repairs

The passage of WC-1 will provide WCSD enough funding to spend at $20 million per year on critical school repairs, renovations, upgrades to safety and security systems, and more. Many repairs projects, especially those that involve asbestos or lead removal or abatement, can only be done when school is not in session. These projects are typically proposed more than a year before construction begins to provide adequate planning time so that school schedules are not affected.

Emergency repairs, such as small patches in leaking roofs, are completed as those issues arise.
